A Shopify OS 2.0 pet theme, v1.0.0. This page covers install, settings, logo rules and replacing the demo content; the finer per-section notes live in the docs/ folder of the package.
What is included
- 44 sections — every one draggable, removable and configurable in the theme editor
- 20 page templates plus a gift-card template (home, product, collection, search, cart, blog, article, 404, password, and FAQ, size guide, feeding guide, care guide, ingredients, shipping & returns, about, contact, data-sharing opt-out)
- 23 snippets, 98 files, no third-party app required
- Locale: English (theme-editor labels translated); other languages are handled by Shopify Markets / Translate
Install and set up
1 · Install
- Admin → Online Store → Themes
- Add theme → Upload zip file, pick the theme package
- Hit Preview first, then Publish when it looks right
2 · Replace the demo content
- Sample copy and images in every home section can be swapped directly; images are theme assets, just upload your own
- Products / collections / blog use your own data; bundled demo images only show as a fallback when no real image is set
- Navigation and footer menus live in Content → Menus (the theme reads
main-menuby default)
3 · Before going live
- Enable a payment provider under Settings → Payments (shop owner only)
- Pick a palette and type scale under theme settings → Style
- Walk the home / product / cart pages at phone width and check there is no horizontal scrolling
Logo size and shape
Sizing is height-based, not width-based — so a wide logo can never spill out of the header bar:
- Small 32px | Medium 40px | Large 52px | Extra large 64px (height)
- Width follows the artwork's own ratio, capped at height × 4; the bar grows to fit (only Extra large pushes it to 80px)
- Sticky shrunk state: the logo is capped at 36px so it never breaks the smaller bar
- Mobile: 44px height cap, width ≤ 42vw, 8px gap from the hamburger button
Four shapes:
- Original — untouched aspect ratio, no crop. Best for stacked or wide lockups
- Rounded — same, with 12px corners
- Outline — same, with a hairline border
- Circle — centred square crop for a badge (the only cropping shape; ideal for square marks, a wide wordmark loses both ends)
Border width / Padding apply to every shape and never push the logo out of the bar.
Where the settings are
Header & navigation
- Layout: centred logo / left logo with mega menu / minimal with drawer
- Logo: image, alt text, text fallback, size, shape, border, padding
- Sticky / transparent on home: shrinks with a blur after 24px of scroll
- Menu items with children build multi-column mega-menu panels (promo block supported)
Global & style
- Announcement bar: multiple messages, marquee/centred/start, speed (seamless, no layout shift)
- Search drawer, cart drawer (drawer or page mode)
- Style:

Accessibility and performance baseline
- Accessibility: semantic landmarks (
main), one h1 per page, visible focus rings, image alt text, WCAG AA contrast, aria labels on icon buttons, focus and scroll locking while a drawer is open - Performance: no heavy dependencies (no jQuery), native lazy-loading and responsive srcset, transform/opacity animations that respect
prefers-reduced-motion, no layout shift from the announcement bar or drawers - Measured baseline: 6 viewport widths (375 / 390 / 414 / 768 / 1024 / 1440) across home, collection and product pages — zero horizontal overflow;

FAQ
Do I need any app?
No. The theme uses only native Shopify features (OS 2.0 sections + JSON templates); images and fonts ship with the theme.
My logo looks smaller than before — why?
Size is height-based (32/40/52/64px) so the logo can never overflow the bar. Pick Large or Extra large if you want it bigger.
Circle crops my logo's text
Circle performs a centred square crop, which suits square marks. For stacked or wide logos use Original / Rounded / Outline — those never crop.
Will an update wipe my settings?
Theme and template settings are preserved; hand-edited theme code files are overwritten by an update, so back up anything customised.
How do the subscription / reviews / quiz sections work?
They are slots: layout and styling are ready, the data comes from the matching app or your own integration.
Which languages are supported?
The theme ships the English locale (with editor-label translations). Multi-language stores extend it with Shopify Markets or a translation app.
