Why check this
Confirm the platform first: Hosting & CDN decides what can be changed and whether it is worth it.
What this is
Cloudflare is an edge CDN, DNS and security layer identified by cf-ray headers, a cloudflare server token and sometimes challenges.cloudflare.com or cdnjs.cloudflare.com assets. Ops teams put it in front of origins for cache, TLS and bot management. Confirming Cloudflare reframes TTFB and challenge-page UX as edge configuration rather than application bugs. Cache hit ratio and rocket-loader style experiments often matter more than origin framework choice once Cloudflare is in path.
How to tell from a public page
- [Cloudflare] Cloudflare HTML/source match on `cdnjs.cloudflare.com` (evidence shows hit count).
- [Cloudflare] Cloudflare HTML/source match on `challenges.cloudflare.com` (evidence shows hit count).
- [Cloudflare] Cloudflare response-header match on `"cf-ray"`.
- [Cloudflare] Cloudflare response-header match on `"server":\s"cloudflare"`.
How to read the result
Issue a confirmed Cloudflare verdict after structural patterns fire; keyword-only stays soft. Orange-cloud proxying can be disabled on a single hostname you tested. Common false positives: Pages that hotlink cdnjs.cloudflare.com while the site itself is not on Cloudflare. After a hit: Inspect cache-control at the edge, challenge frequency on mobile, and whether HTML is actually cached.
What to do next

FAQ
How is Cloudflare detected?
From structural signatures in the public HTML and response headers (domains, paths, attributes, scripts). Every verdict lists how many times each pattern matched — nothing is guessed.
Can the result be wrong?
If only a bare brand keyword matches without structural evidence, we label it \u201clikely\u201d instead of \u201cconfirmed\u201d — we would rather under-report than cry wolf.
Do you save the URLs I check?
No. The audit runs inside the request and the URL you paste is not written to storage. There are no third-party tracking scripts on the page either, so no log of who checked what exists. Copy the result yourself if you want a record.
Can a website hide what it is built with?
Partly, but rarely completely. The HTML sent to your browser, the response headers, script paths and asset structure have to be exposed to work, so there is always something readable. Server-side code, build config and private APIs stay invisible. That is why this tool reports the evidence it found rather than claiming a full picture. No match does not mean the technology is absent.
Does Cloudflare hide the origin server?
It masks the origin's real IP address, which is a large part of why sites put it in front. From the public internet you generally only see Cloudflare's edge, not the hosting provider or the datacentre behind it. So you can confirm that a site uses Cloudflare, but not where the server lives.
What do headers like cf-ray tell me?
Headers beginning with cf- are added by Cloudflare at the edge and are hard to fake. A site can mention Cloudflare in its copy, but it cannot easily produce these headers out of nowhere. They also carry an edge node code and a request ID, which help when debugging caching and origin issues.
